This weekend started on a wonderful note! Chris and I are blessed to be apart of a wonderful church Redemption Church Rio Rancho. We are a baby church in the process of moving into our first building. If you’re looking for a new church please consider joining us! We have an amazing pastor and we are developing a wonderful family like fellowship. Besides giving us an awesome support group while going through this adoption process they were kind enough to give us a very unique donation. We’re moving into an older building and working on renovating it for our needs. Last week the men took down a lot of cables and wires and what not from the ceiling. There’s a place in town you can take all the cabling to and they’ll recycle it and give you money for it! Pastor Carlos was kind enough to offer us the big pile of cable and we could keep the money for our adoption! Chris took it to be recycled this morning and we got a little over $100 for it! So with that now we’re only $150 away from our homestudy fee!!!! We are so crazily blessed and so excited that the funds are just growing! Also, our raffle will be starting on Monday! We are going to be raffling off a new item every week. Each ticket is $1 and you can purchase as many as you’d like. Some items include an iPod dock, microwave, Yerba Vida giftbasket, and a set of highlight from Miss Anna Sloan! Those are just some, so keep looking to see what’s coming up next! It’s amazing what a mere 7 days can hold. This week God has truly shown His greatness. I am dumbfounded at the outpouring of love we have received over this last week. We have raised $1,112! I can’t believe that in ONE week we have raised over one thousand dollars. My heart has never been so full. I’m overwhelmed and I hate to admit it but at first I was shocked. I shouldn’t be, our God is much bigger than money, He performed crazy miracles. This is His specialty! Water into wine, healing the blind?? Why am I shocked!? Praise God for all of the generosity. I am so encouraged today looking at the donations we’ve received, not just because of the number but because of who’s been giving. 90 percent of the donations thus far have been from people that I have NEVER met. That is how awesome God is. He is causing hearts to move in people that don’t know me. They don’t know us, they don’t know our hearts. But He does, and He is making this happen, and I am both humbled and awed at His work in this. THANK YOU to those who gave, and thank you for the support and prayers. After months of praying and turning “what if” chat’s into serious conversation. We’re really doing this. We are excited, nervous, anxious, hopeful, and honestly pretty scared. A LOT is about to happen. A LOT is going to change. We know that we are about to be challenged in ways we never imagined. Challenged by finances, fear, doubt, emotions, and not to mention parenting a broken child. All trying our patience and our faith. We know that this will truly be a sanctifying process. Bringing us closer to God and eachother. The awesome support in this is knowing the He is in control. He knows our future and how all this plays out. And we will rest in Him. Thanks for your support in this new journey!
